Mushaal explores ways to help Palestinians

Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick has chaired a high level meeting regarding the human rights situation in Palestine. The meeting explored ways to help Palestinians faced with the current humanitarian crises.

The meeting was attended by South African High Commissioner to Pakistan H.E. Mthuthuzel Madikiza, Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan H.E Ahmed Jawad Rabei, Deputy Head of Mission Nader. K. Alturk, Spokesperson to SAPM Ms. Sabien Hussein Mullick, Palestinian journalist Jalal Al Farra, Al-araby TV journalist Belal Elustal, Advisor to SAPM Faisal Babri, Al-Jazeera TV chief Abdulrahman Matar, AL Mayadeen TV journalist Bakr Younis, Representative of Area study center Quaid e azam university Dr. Munawar Hussain, Advisor to SAPM Prof. Zafar Iqbal Sindhu and Advisor to SAPM Dr. Shahid Ahmed Afridi.

During the meeting, Special Assistant to Prime Minister announced the formation of Palestinian Consultative Committee. She said the committee would explore ways to alleviate the pains of the Palestinians suffering under Israel’s Occupation. She said that the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a staunch advocate of Independent Palestinian state. “The State of Pakistan always strives to stick to the views of the founding father on Policy matters regarding the Palestinian Conflict”, she added. Mushaal expressed deep concern over the ongoing human rights violations in Palestine. She expressed her surprise that these transgressions were taking place in the 21st century. She highlighted that the indiscriminate use of force by Israeli occupation forces had led to a devastating toll on the Palestinian population. She said that in the past three months alone, over 25,000 Palestinians had lost their lives, 61,000 had sustained injuries, hundreds of thousands had been forcibly displaced and 70,000 buildings reduced to ruins.

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister commended South Africa for its efforts to halt the genocide perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people. She pledged unwavering support of Pakistan to South Africa in advocating for Palestine’s cause at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). She emphasized that global unity was crucial in addressing the Palestinian crisis and called upon other nations to emulate actions undertaken by South Africa.
