On the 7th anniversary of Dr. Ruth Pfau’s passing, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has praised the remarkable contributions of the renowned leprosy fighter. The Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali shahhighlighted Dr. Pfau’s unparalleled dedication to humanity, emphasizing that her work in treating leprosy is unmatched. In his message, Shah noted that Dr. Pfau devoted her entire life to combating leprosy, and her efforts have left an enduring impact on the people of Pakistan.
“Such extraordinary figures arise only once in centuries,” he said, acknowledging the profound legacy of Dr. Pfau. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also pointed out that Dr. Pfau was honored with the Quaid-e-Azam’s gold medal for her humanitarian work.
“On behalf of the people of Sindh, I pay tribute to Dr. Ruth Pfau,” Shah stated. Furthermore, the Civil Hospital Karachi has been renamed in her honor, a testament to her invaluable services, which will be remembered and celebrated always.
