Mehbooba Mufti, President of the Peoples Democratic Party, has reiterated her demand for the restoration of occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, which was revoked by the Indian government on August 5, 2019. According to Kashmir Media Service, at a public rally in Islamabad, south Kashmir, on Monday, Mufti called the government’s decisions “illegal” and “unconstitutional”. She urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to respond strongly against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) actions in the occupied territory.—KMS
