Chairman Markazi Ulema Council of Pakistan Sahibzada Zahid Mahmood Qasmi paid a visit to the Palestinian Embassy in Islamabad to express his condolences over the death of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh at the hands of Israeli soldiers and expressed solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.
Sahibzada Zahid Mehmood Qasmi wrote his condolences on the book in the embassy. Vice Chairman Pir G Khalid Mehmood Qasmi, Vice President Punjab Maulana Abu Sufyan Hanafi, Secretary General Punjab Hafiz Maqbool Ahmed Sahibzada Hussain Ahmed Qasmi was also present.
Sahibzada Zahid Mehmood Qasmi said, Sheerin Abu Akleh aBahadur was a fearless woman journalist who reported on the atrocities against the Palestinians and reached out to the United Nations.
Israeli forces suppressed the voice of truth. Unhappy situation persisted even at the funeral of slain journalist Shereen Abu Akleh. UN should take immediate notice of this incident, said Palestinian Ambassador to Islamabad.
Only OIC supports Palestine in every way. The OIC should do something for Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian capital. The love and relations of Pakistanis with Palestine can never end.
The people of Pakistan thank the Ulema and the Government of Pakistan for their support of Palestine and its stand against aggression. They have always supported Palestine in every forum of the world.
At the request of Markazi Ulema Council of Pakistan, Merkazi Secretary General of the MUCP Allama Shah Nawaz Farooqi Gujranwala Maulan Mumtaz-ul-Haq President Azad Kashmir Maulana Azad Jameel President of Sindh Province Maulana Ikramullah Qasmi President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mufti Shakeel Ahmed President Balochistan Province Qari Muhammad Wazir Gilgit President Gilgit-Baltistan Maulana Qari Muhammad Mushtaq Lahore President Punjab condemned the killings and asked international human rights organizations to take notice of the aggression of the Israeli forces.
At the grassroots level, we call on the United Nations to investigate the recent violence in Palestine and to give the oppressed Palestinians their due right.
