In a major operation by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (MSA) an offshore smuggling attempt was foiled on intelligence report on Tuesday.The PMSA plane identified the suspicious boat and after the raid on the boat huge amount of cannabis was seized worth Rs 820 million international value. The seized hashish weighs 2,700 kg. Eight suspects involved in smuggling have been arrested and have stated their connection to Iran in the interrogation The suspects set fire to the boat and jumped into the sea. The drugs were to be transported to Yemen, Deputy DG Maritime Security Commodore Jawad Qureshi said.
