Mr King Broast Leysin School Among 72 Businesses Sealed In Lahore

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 72 illegal commercial buildings and the premises that defaulted on commercialisation fees in Lahore’s various housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas on Tuesday.

LDA’s Town Planning Wing sealed 10 buildings in Gulberg, 25 in Gujjarpura Housing Scheme, 23 in Johar Town and Jubilee Town, and 14 in Government Superior Services Housing Scheme and Subzazar Housing Scheme during operations against illegal commercial use and nonpayment of commercialisation fees.

The sealed premises include Mr King Broast, Leysin School, Apex International School, Iqra School System, Al-Umar Academy, Stop Shop Mart, Enamels Dental, grocery stores, food outlets, offices, and other businesses.

LDA Chief Town Planner I, Assad-uz-Zaman, and Chief Town Planner II, Azhar Ali, supervised the operations. LDA’s enforcement teams carried out these operations with the assistance of the Police.

According to the LDA officials, several notices were served on the owners of these buildings before carrying out these operations.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed the continuation of indiscriminate operations against illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercialisation fees in LDA-controlled areas and Lahore’s housing schemes.
