Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has instructed its newly elected members to prioritize addressing the issues faced by the people in their respective constituencies. Newly elected members have been directed to compile reports within a week detailing the challenges present in their areas.
These reports are expected to cover a range of issues, including electricity and gas load-shedding, access to clean drinking water, and concerns related to the tanker mafia. Additionally, members are tasked with addressing complaints regarding illegal constructions and multi-storied buildings within their constituencies.
Emphasizing the importance of fulfilling their mandate, the party spokesperson underscored the responsibility of elected representatives to tackle these pressing issues in Karachi and Hyderabad. The directive also includes engaging with relevant institutions to facilitate resolutions. Following its success in securing 17 National Assembly seats in the recent general elections, the MQM-P has reaffirmed its commitment to serving the interests of its constituents. Moreover, the decision to join the coalition government and assume ministries at the Centre demonstrates the party’s intent to actively participate in governance at the national level.
