MPA inspects central jail, commends facilities

In a proactive move towards ensuring the well-being of inmates, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, representing Mardan, undertook a thorough inspection of the Central Jail accompanied by District Health Officer Dr. Javed Iqbal.

Upon his arrival, Mashwani was warmly welcomed by Superintendent Arif Khan, who escorted him through the various sections of the facility, including the children’s, women’s, and men’s prisons, as well as the hospital. Mashwani’s visit extended to the vocational center of the jail, where he inspected tailoring, electricity, and education classes, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and addressing the inmates’ concerns.

During interactions with the prisoners, Mashwani noted their overall satisfaction with the facilities provided, particularly highlighting the provision of quality food.
