MoU sign for setting up NSU campus Muridke

National Skills University (NSU) and Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) signed an Memorandum of Understanding for lease of land for development of a campus of NSU in Muridke, Sheikhupura. The MoU was signed in the presence of Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor, said a press release on Thursday. Senior officials of the ministry also attended the signing ceremony.

Rana Tanveer Hussain said”One of the top priorities of this government is to enhance the provision of technical and vocational training, both in terms of quality and in terms of reach.”

He emphasized on the importance of technical and vocational training and said “Throughout the world it has played a vital role in uplifting the common man.”

He said that we have examples from the most developed world where technical and vocational training has played a critical role in integrating unemployed population into society as productive members.

Rana Tanveer said”This system can provide positive outcome quickly and efficiently as compared to the formal education system.”

He said”Wide access to vocational and technical training is essential in providing employment to the youth bulge of the country.”

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor said”Education is the cornerstone of any society.”

He emphasized that attainment of education is the foremost duty of every Pakistani and muslim.

He acknowledged”The effective approach of Rana Tanveer in successfully executing the project and the sighning of the MoU.”

Rana Tanveer Hussain praised the emphatic response of Mr. Abdul Shakoor and said”Access to education is one of the pillars of uplifting the nation.”

Education Minister said”The future is in Vocational Training of the population of Pakistan. He said that it provides the best opportunity to the people to find jobs.”

At the end, Rana Tanveer directed the officials for speedy execution and implementation of the MoU.

He said that the NSU campus should be made functional as soon as possible and hoped that its execution would become a source of employment for the ever-growing youth bulge of Pakistan.
