Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi met with Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh on Saturday. The two ministers discussed bilateral relations between the countries and prospects for joint cooperation, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Motegi said Japan’s willingness to support Saudi Arabia’s reforms in public and private sectors is “unwavering.” He added that the industrial diversification promoted by Saudi Arabia is increasing and falls under the framework of “Japan-Saudi Vision 2030.” They also reviewed the agenda for the upcoming G20 summit, which will be held under Saudi Arabia’s presidency. —Agencies
