Mosharraf Zaidi appointed PM’s spokesperson for foreign media

ISLAMABAD – Senior journalist Mosharraf Ali Zaidi has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s spokesperson for foreign media.

“Prime Minister is pleased to appoint Mr Mosharraf Ali Zaidi as Prime Minister’s Spokesperson for Foreign Media, with immediate effect and until further orders”, reads an office order issued by Dr Syed Tauqir Shah, Advisor to Prime Minister, on Monday.

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the Cabinet Division are requested to take further action accordingly, the office order further reads.

A LUMS graduate who did an MPA from Baruch College of the City University of New York has previously served as a Policy Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2011 to 2013.

From 2013 to 2018, Mr Zaidi led the Alif Ailaan campaign aimed at addressing the education crisis in Pakistan.
