Revelation by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar regarding the arrest of a Pakistani fisherman coerced by Indian intelligence to undertake espionage activities inside Pakistan once again unmasks the nefarious designs of New Delhi.
The case of Ejaz is not an isolated incident rather it is yet another chapter in India’s long and sordid history of attempting to malign Pakistan through deceit, subversion and propaganda.
According to Mr Tarar, the fisherman was taken into custody by Indian Coast Guard and then subjected to coercion by Indian intelligence operatives. He was tasked with acquiring Pakistani military uniforms, local currency, cigarettes and SIM cards – all materials that could be used to fabricate false narratives and orchestrate propaganda operations meant to discredit Pakistan at the international level. This is a clear reflection of India’s malicious intent and growing frustration following its failures on both the battlefield and diplomatic fronts. As the Information Minister rightly pointed out that Indian state has been unable to accept its humiliation after the recent failure in conflict with Pakistan. The defeat suffered by India in four-day conflict remains a sore wound, and its attempts to recover lost pride through psychological and propaganda warfare only reflects its deep frustration. Adding to the wounds are repeated remarks by the US President Donald Trump, who on multiple occasions has alluded to fighter jets lost by India. The sleepless nights that this truth has caused in New Delhi are evident in its erratic and desperate actions.
The confession of the fisherman stands as a damning indictment of India’s evil face. Coercing a civilian into participating in espionage operations only underscores moral bankruptcy of the Indian establishment. It also exposes how low New Delhi is willing to stoop to malign Pakistan internationally, even at the cost of violating humanitarian and ethical norms. Despite these provocations, Pakistan has consistently exercised restraint and sought peace in the region. However, our goodwill should never be mistaken for weakness. Pakistan’s unity, resilience and faith in its armed forces remain unshakable. No conspiracy, no propaganda and no hybrid warfare can weaken the spirit of a nation that stands firmly behind its defenders. History has shown and will continue to show that truth and justice are on Pakistan’s side.It is also imperative for international community to take serious note of India’s transnational crimes. Its activities are not confined to Pakistan alone. From targeted killing of a Sikh leader in Canada to espionage networks across South Asia, India has repeatedly violated international laws and norms. The world must hold New Delhi accountable for its destabilising conduct, which threatens regional and global peace.
