COLOMBO – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Jay Shah had a cordial exchange of words on Tuesday.

The development took place during the annual meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC).  The meeting concluded recently in Colombo.

The meeting deliberated on various aspects including creation of new rules and discussions about T20 World Cup

On the sidelines of the meeting, Naqvi and Shah met, shook hands, and shared a pleasant conversation. However, the Champions Trophy 2025 was not discussed during their interaction.

The Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan was not brought up by the PCB, BCCI or ICC during the meeting, as it was not included in the official agenda.

The sources said that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is due to take place in Pakistan as planned as the ICC had expressed satisfaction with the PCB’s preparations.

The  ICC had earlier approved the budget for Champions Trophy 2025 to be held in Pakistan.
