National Security Adviser Dr Moeed Yusuf has said that the global community needs to device a plan to avert any humanitarian crisis in war-torn Afghani-stan whose women and children were in dire need of assistance.

This was stated by him on Friday while talking to a five-member US delegation led by Special Repre-sentative for Afghanistan Thomas West.

Prevailing situation in Afghanistan and possible measures to get rid of the crises came under discus-sion during the meeting.

Speaking during meeting, Dr Moeed Yusuf sug-gested the world community to devise a system through which aid could reach Afghans before spike in winter season.

“Taliban need to be included in constructive dia-logue because the political vacuum and instability will prove to be beneficial for terrorist organiza-tions,” Dr Moeed Yusuf said.

However, the two sides expressed their determina-tion to strengthen cooperation and coordination in all fields.
