Khuda Bux Brohi Thatta
In a fervent display of dedication to his constituency, MNA Sadiq Ali Memon, alongside prominent figures from Thatta district, implored the Chief Minister of Sindh to prioritize development projects and employment opportunities for the local youth. The passionate plea was made during a gathering attended by CM Sindh in Hyderabad, where Memon underscored the urgent need for progress and inclusivity in Thatta.
Addressing the assembly, Memon, who also serves as the district president of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Thatta, emphasized the significance of uplifting the region through infrastructural enhancements and job creation. He lauded past endeavors such as the construction of vital bridges and infrastructure projects facilitated by PPP, yet highlighted persistent challenges that demand immediate attention.
Of notable concern was the glaring contrast between the proliferation of wind projects and the enduring issue of power outages plaguing Thatta. Memon advocated for an end to load shedding and urged energy companies to prioritize local employment opportunities.
Moreover, Memon raised alarm over the alarming surge in road accidents along the Thatta to Hyderabad national highway, stressing the necessity for urgent measures to improve safety. He proposed the construction of a dual carriageway and the implementation of a dedicated public bus service to mitigate risks.
The delay in appointing teachers, despite issuance of offer letters in August 2023, was another issue highlighted by Memon, who stressed the importance of education in fostering community development.
