The Punjab Mines & Minerals Department has decided to expedite the process of accessing information to the public. In line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief Minister of Punjab, it was decided to make full use of digital media to communicate the performance of the department to the people. On the direction of Secretary MMD Amir Ijaz Akbar, the Additional Secretary Samia Saleem convened an emergency meeting of the Media Management Committee.
Addressing the meeting, the Additional Secretary said that the MMD is engaged in public service day and night and it is imperative to inform the people about the performance of the Department through the media. “The MMD will soon issue its newsletter” she added.
“In the present era, the use of digital media along with traditional media has become essential for the efficient transmission of information” she believed.
