On the occasion of Pakistan’s 75th Independence Day, a ceremony was held at Camp Jail Ferozepur Road. Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal and Interior Minister Colonel (Rtd) Hashim Dogar attended the ceremony as special guests.
IG Jail KhanaJat Mirza Shahid Saleem Baig, DIG Lahore Range, DIG Headquarters, Jail authorities and prisoners also participated in the ceremony – Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal while addressing the ceremony said that on Pakistan’s 75th Independence Day I congratulate the entire nation.
The provincial minister said that the blood of our ancestors is included in the foundations of Pakistan.
Freedom is a great blessing and should be cherished. Unfortunately, even today the country is still being ruled by mentally enslaved, he added. Provincial Minister said that Pakistan gave us recognition, name, position and rank but we have failed to clear the debt of the soil of the country in the true sense
. Mian Aslam Iqbal said that there is no uniform system of justice in the country, Justice goes to the powerful but the poor do not get justice, the petty thief goes to jail while the big robber takes bail and runs out of the country.
The time has come, Let’s change our thinking, Imran Khan is such a leader who raised the prestige of Pakistan. More steps have to be taken to reform and improve the condition in Punjab jails, he concluded.
Provincial Interior Minister Home Colonel (retd.) Hashim Dogar said that our elders have made great sacrifices for freedom. Imran Khan will lead Pakistan towards real freedom.
The day will surely come when Pakistan will become a prosperous country. All the prisoners in the jails of Punjab are like our guests and we e will give them all the facilities.
The officers of prison department will also get the same executive allowance as the civil bureaucracy is taking.
Col (Rtd.) Hashim Dogar said he will visit two jails a week and hold open courts there to hear the problems of prison employees and prisoners himself. Abusing a prisoner If there is a complaint, the law will come into action.
The provincial minister also announced a reward of Rs.10 thousands for the disable photographer of the camp jail. On this occasion, IG Prisons Mirza Shahid Saleem Baig said that the best facilities are being provided to the prisoners in all the jails of Punjab.
