Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat has said that despite financial difficulties, he has continued to serve the people of his constituency because his people had the first right on him. He said this while inaugurating development projects worth Rs80 million at Harley Street Rawalpindi on Sunday.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, development funds had not been concentrated in a single city but the development of all areas of the province is being given equal priority.
Development projects included the construction, repair and maintenance of roads, streets and sewerage systems.
The local leadership of PTI including Raja Muhammad Nasir was also present on the occasion.
Raja Basharat said that after small public welfare projects, megaprojects like Ring Road are being launched in Rawalpindi soon, which would usher in a new era of development.
He said that difficult decisions had laid the foundation for a stable economic process, the people had been made aware of the truth instead of false claims and now the situation would gradually be improving.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken steps to control inflation, not temporary relief to the people but long-lasting relief would be available on strong foundations in coming days. He said that PTI was nurturing Imran Khan’s vision.
“The axis of this vision is nothing but prosperity at the grassroots level of the people,” he said.
The provincial law minister prayed after the inauguration of the projects. The citizens present on the occasion thanked the Punjab government for resolving the 20-year-old issues.
