Punjab Higher Education Minister Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfraz has directed to facilitate the students in the wake of coronavirus situation.
The provincial minister and pro-chancellor were talking to Islamia University of Bahawalpur Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Athar Mahboob who called on him at his office on Thursday.
Matters relating to online academic activities, administrative and developmental affairs were discussed during the meeting. The minister advised the vice-chancellor to ensure the Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s participation in global university rankings such as Times Higher Education and QS rankings.
Prof Athar Mahboob briefed him about continuation of online classes and conduct of examinations. He also apprised him about social responsibility efforts of the university especially during coronavirus crises. Raja Yasir Humayun praised the contribution of the university in socio-economic uplift of the region.
