RAWALPIDI – The Metro Bus service in Rawalpindi will remain suspended for four days due to maintenance work on the track.
The Metro Bus administration has announced that the service will be unavailable from November 28 to December 1.
It said the service will be closed between the Saddar Station and Faizabad Station due to track maintenance.
However, the Metro Bus service from Faizabad to the Pak Secretariat will continue as usual. The service will be fully restored on December 2.
The Pakistan Metrobus System operates between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The line was inaugurated on June 04, 2015 and has achieved highest ridership of 151,000 per day.
The rapid transit system connects the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in Pakistan. Launched in 2015, the service covers a 24.8-kilometer route, with dedicated bus lanes, ensuring faster and more reliable travel.
The route connects key areas, including Saddar, Rawalpindi, and various important sectors in Islamabad, such as the Pak Secretariat. The system operates with modern, air-conditioned buses, offering a comfortable commute for passengers.
The Metro Bus has significantly reduced traffic congestion, providing an efficient transportation option for daily commuters and contributing to the urban mobility infrastructure in the region.
