Peoples Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti, has described as outrageous the order of the authorities of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir warning the government employees of disciplinary action if they resorted to demonstrations and strikes to press for their demands.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti in a post on X, formerly twitter, said the order reeks of a dictatorial mindset. She said that threatening the employees with dire consequences and disciplinary action is outrageous.

The IIOJK authorities in an order issued yesterday (Friday) warned the employees against going ahead with their proposed agitation, saying such acts would attract disciplinary action.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum Chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani, in a statement in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the authorities’ order which prohibits the employees to demand their legitimate rights through peaceful protests and called for its roll back.—KMS
