Deputy Commissioner Ali Shehzad has said that the three-day national polio campaign will start in Multan district from September 20 in which more than 700,000 children will be vaccinated during door to door campaign.
He said that strict action would be taken against the parents who refuse to get vaccinated their children against polio.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting held to review arrangements for the anti-polio campaign.
Ali Shehzad said that anti-polio campaign would be launched strictly in line with SOPs in view of Corona epidemic.
Multan has been a polio free district since 2009 due to government initiatives. He directed that all the agencies including the police would play their role for the security of the polio teams.
On the occasion, the health department also gave a detailed briefing in connection with the anti-polio campaign.
