Karachi Police Chief GhulamNabiMemonhas said that medical insurance of police personnel has been decided. Various insurance companies have contacted in this regard. Memon said a policeman will deposit Rs 1,000 from his salary every month. “You have to deposit Rs 12,000 per year.” Elaborating, he said under the insurance policy, every police officer can treat or operate on his wife and two children from any hospital.The limit of medical insurance for a policeman will be up to Rs0.3 million, said GhulamNabiMemon. A total of 102 hospitals will be able to treat the police and their families.After signing an agreement with the insurance company, those who want medical insurance will be able to submit their data in the relevant officesMedical insurance cards to be provided to policemen in second phase, the AIG said.In case of resistance to robbery or attack during duty, treatment of police personnel is the responsibility of police department.
