Muslim Council of America (MCA) on Sunday reaffirmed its consistent and unstinted support for the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause and decided to knock the door of International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Israeli illegal occupation on Palestinian territory and unjustified cruel aggression against Palestinian people.
The Chairman Muslim Conference of America Rana Zaman Saeed in a statement viewed that question of Palestine remains unresolved and the Palestinian people are yet to realize their inalienable right to self-determination as provided in various resolutions of the United Nations. He stated that a case would be filed against Israeli illegal occupation on Palestinian territory and unjustified cruel aggression against Palestinian people at International Court of Justice.
He reiterated his support and solidarity for the Palestinian people who continue to wage a just struggle against an illegal and brutal occupation. “international community must shoulder its responsibility to protect the lives and fundamental rights of the Palestinian people, and play its rightful role in promoting a just and lasting resolution of the Palestinian question in accordance with international legitimacy in the interest of durable peace and stability in the Middle East” he stated.
He urged upon the international community as well as so-called human rights organizations to break criminal silence on this alarming issue and ensure accountability for the widespread violations of international human rights and humanitarian law in the occupied territories. He stated that Muslim Council of America strongly condemned Israeli aggression and occupation on Palestine and affirmed to highlight this issue at every world forum.—INP
