Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that March 23 is the most important day in the history of Pakistan. The Resolution of Pakistan became the foundation for our beloved homeland. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a great leader of Muslims. Freedom is a blessing, ask the Palestinians and Kashmiris about its value.
He expressed these views on Saturday while talking to media representatives after laying a floral wreath at Mazar-e-Quaid and reciting Fateha along with Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad. Municipal Commissioner SM Afzal Zaidi, PPP Deputy Parliamentary Leader in City Council Dil Muhammad, Mayor Karachi Spokesperson for Political Affairs Karamullah Waqasi, Juman Durwan, Senior Director Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid, Senior Director Culture and Sports Raza Abbas Rizvi and other leaders and officers were also present. Wahab recorded his comments in the guest book and paid tribute to the struggle and sacrifices made for an independent state under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, talking to the media representatives he said that today on behalf of the citizens of Karachi we have come to the Mazar-e-Quaid.
A historic resolution was passed on March 23, which became the basis for the establishment of Pakistan and we got an independent stae ,due to their efforts and hard work, we got the independent country of Pakistan, Insha Allah will fulfill the the dream that the workers of Tehreek-e-Pakistan had seen.
It is a pity and a shame that we mock those and conspire against them who gives sacrifices for our security , it is wrong to let down our generation, the life of the outsiders in Pakistan looks very good, freedom is in fact a great blessing, Pakistan People’s Party also gave sacrifices for the sake of the country, the martyr’s death is the life of the nation, recently a son of Karachi also sacrificed his life for the country.
He said that President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan People’s Party have excellent relations with great friends and neighbor China , under the leadership of Mr. Zardari, the relations between Pakistan and China will become more stable.
