May 9 incidence: Court reserves verdict on bail pleas of 15 accused

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Saturday reserved verdict on the bail petitions of 15 accused involved in the incidents of vandalizing and torching police vehicles on May 9.
ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar heard the case.

The court reserved the verdict after the petitioners’ lawyers completed their arguments.Cases against the accused were registered in Mughalpura police station and the PTI vandals are currently on a 14-day judicial remand in jail.

Separately, the physical remand of 89 accused involved in the Jinnah House attach has been completed and they will be presented before the anti-terrorism court today.

During previous hearing, the ATC remanded the accused in police custody for seven days.
Police will also submit investigation report to the court today.

FIRs were filed against the accused in Sarwar Road police station.Police had sought physical remand of the accused to run their photogrammetric test.

89 accused including Dr Khumer, Ibad Farooq and Asad Shoaib will be presented before the court.
