KARACHI – A garment factory in Karachi’s Export Processing Zone collapsed after fierce fire engulfed the building, officials from Rescue 1122 confirmed. Rescue teams rushed to the scene, battling the intense flames that led to the catastrophic collapse.
According to an initial statement, as soon as Rescue 1122’s Central Command and Control received alert, a fire and rescue squad, accompanied by an ambulance and a fire brigade truck, was immediately dispatched to control the fire.

The situation turned dire when factory building gave way due to the intensity of the fire, injuring two firefighters who were on the frontlines. Both are currently receiving first aid.
