The University of Okara has initiated extensive awareness campaign regarding Covid-19 vaccination across the district and its vicinities.
The decision to start this drive was taken in a meeting, chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar here on Saturday. The Assistant Commission, Renala Khurd, Dr Rizwan Ashraf, the Deputy District Health Officer, Dr Ahsan, and faculty members from various departments attended the meeting.
A Covid SOPs Implementation Committee, comprising of 10 faculty members, was constituted to carry out the drastic measures to ensure cent percent vaccination for the students and staff of the university.
Addressing to the meeting, the VC directed the committee members to engage students and sensitize the people, through community outreach, in Okara.—INP
