Incarcerated Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Con-ference, Masarrat Aalam Butt has urged the people to observe a complete strike on May 22 (Monday) in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the holding of the G20 meeting in Srinagar by Narendra Modi-led Indian government.

Masarrat Aalam Butt in his message from the infamous Tihar Jail in New Delhi also appealed to the Kashmiris living in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to hold protest demonstrations on this day against the illegal move of the Modi regime. He also urged the Kashmiri diaspora all over the world to hold protests in the capitals of their respective countries to expose the ulterior motive of the Indian government behind the move.

He added that the strike and demonstrations would convey a message to the UN and the world community that the people of Kashmir want the settlement of the Kashmir dispute according to the resolutions of the World Body and they will continue their struggle till achieving their birthright to self-determination.

He called the meetings of the G20 in Srinagar and Ladakh as an open violation of the United Na-tions resolutions and international laws. He said by holding the G20 meeting in an internationally rec-ognized disputed territory, the Modi government is trying not only to hoodwink the international com-munity but also the Indian people.

He said India has been committing massacre of Kashmiris and other serious human rights violations in IIOJK for the last several decades, adding that New Delhi was holding such a high profile confer-ence to hide its crimes in the occupied territory.—KMS
