Regarding load shedding across the country of which the PML-N government vows to end soon in its stint, party Vice-President Maryam Nawaz tweeted on Monday: “How much load shedding is there in your city today?”
Meanwhile, the energy ministry has claimed ending load shedding across the country vowing smooth supply of electricity during three days of Eid holidays.
The power division officials claimed that loadshedding across the country had been reduced to zero since May 1 as per the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who vowed to end the power cuts from May 1.
The officials said that 2,500MW additional electricity had been added to the national grid that could help ending the power outages.
They heralded that there would be no power cuts on three days of Eid holidays while maintaining that the ministry would try to keep the power supply steady even after Eid festivities.
However, they said that load management was being carried out in rural areas and high losses areas.
