The project’s feasibility plan covers provisions for budget allocation, land, and advanced equipment.

The observatory will feature an automated communication and linkage system, a Geographic Information System (GIS) lab, a sectoral interface mechanism, and a modern data hub.

It will also incorporate a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system to support climate-related scientific research.

To ensure operational excellence, world-class professionals will be recruited, and sector-specific environmental experts will be trained through structured internship programs.

The meeting also approved the formation of a dedicated data archive, a coordination unit, and an international communication cell.

CM Maryam presented a comprehensive strategy to address the growing risks posed by climate change, reaffirming her government’s commitment to sustainability.

Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the observatory would operate under a smart management model and play a pivotal role in regional environmental research, knowledge sharing, and climate policymaking.
