Maryam Nawaz pays surprise visit to GPSP school at Wahdat Colony

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif suddenly reached Wahdat Colony after visiting the site of first cancer hospital near Valencia Town, for an unscheduled visit to Government Pilot Secondary Girls School.

Madam Chief Minister quietly went to a classroom and sat with the students, who got surprised and were very much excited to see Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in their midst. Urdu revision test was being conducted in class 8 at the time.

The Chief Minister asked the students about title of the essay. She appreciated and loved the students for giving correct answer.

Madam Chief Minister sat on the desk with a young student, Noor Fatima, and encouraged girls to keep their classrooms clean after seeing empty wrappers around.

The Chief Minister asked the class teacher to continue the test and teaching work. She enquired about the problems and needs of the girls in school.

The girls demanded for an improvement in their library, lab, and the organization of events in school.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also visited other sections of class 8, and the board examination center of class 10th. She inspected the examination center very quietly and saw the students taking exam.

She inspected the library, biology lab, sports room, and the school stadium. The glass doors of the rooms were broken and the walls were littered with moisture.

She directed the authorities concerned to improve upon the condition of the school. Madam Chief Minister took a group photo with the position holder female athletes of the board games, and gave them autograph. She also took a group photo with the school staff, on their request, and recorded her comments in the visitor’s book.

Madam Chief Minister expressed happiness on meeting and discussion with the talented students of the School.

Former Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Member Punjab Assembly SaniaAshiq, Chief Secretary and other officers concerned were present on the occasion.
