Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat expressed his personal disagreement with the party’s decision to resign from the assemblies in April 2022. He argued that the move had negative consequences, causing the party to lose its position in the National Assembly and leading to the dissolution of two governments.

Marwat believes that staying in the assemblies could have prevented the events of May 9th, though he didn’t elaborate on the specifics. He stated that PTI, having returned to parliament through elections, now has two options: pursue legal recourse or participate in the planned protest on March 2nd.
