Marriyum along with ministers reviewed security arrangements on Aushra Day

Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, along with the Cabinet Committee on law and order visited Karbala Gamay Shah and reviewed all the related security arrangements for Lahore’s main mourning procession and its culmination point. Health Minister / Chairman Cabinet Committee Khawaja Salman Rafique, Food Minister Bilal Yasin, Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Home Secretary Noor-ul-Amin Mengal accompanied her.

Home Secretary Noor-ul-Amin Mengal gave a briefing about the situation of central processions across Punjab, including Lahore. The Commissioner Lahore and Deputy Commissioner Lahore were also present on the occasion. Members of the Peace Committee and relevant officials also accompanied.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the entire cabinet is actively working in the field to maintain law and order. On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, special arrangements for food, ‘Langar’, and ‘Sabeels’ were arranged across the province and these arrangements will continue until Chehlum. Marriyum Aurangzeb said that love and reverence for the Ahl al-Bayt is part of our faith. All Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, RPOs, and the Peace Committee will remain in the field till the safe return of all the processions.
