On the directives of Chief Secretary Government of Sindh Mumtaz Ali Shan, Commissioner Karachi IftikharShallwani chaired a meeting of officer bearers of the Marriage Halls Owners Association at his office on Monday. President of the Association RaanaRaisAhmed headed a delegation. Additional Commissioner I Asad Ali Khan, Assistant Commissioner General Commissioner office Ejaz Hussain Rind also attended the meeting. The Commissioner asked the marriage hall owners to fully implement the guidelines issued by the NCOC letter and spirit so as to efforts could be achieved to prevent and spread of COVID -19. He clarified that no permission has been given to marriage halls to serve the food at tables or to serve buffet. “Only boxes are allowed to serve the guests food’, he added The president of the Marriage Halls Owners Association assured the meeting that SOPs issued for the marriage halls would be implemented fully in letter and spirit. Meanwhile, the Commissioner directed the deputy commissioners to get implemented the SOPS fully and action should be taken against those who don’t follow the SOPs.
