ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said on Thursday that Pakistan targeted major installations inside India, including a key oil depot.
The minister said Pakistan maintained superiority in cyber warfare.
“In cyber attacks, India cannot even come closer to Pakistan,” said Mohsin Naqvi while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
Naqvi said that it is important to share with the media what happened during Marka-e-Haq during conflict with India.
The minister said Pakistan Armed Forces made the entire nation proud during the historic victory against India in “Marka-e-Haq”, while praising the role of intelligence agencies, military leadership and the media.
He said said Pakistan’s intelligence agencies played a crucial role during the operation, while the military leadership remained in constant coordination throughout the conflict.
He said Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu remained in contact “every minute” during Marka-e-Haq to ensure effective coordination.
Mohsin Naqvi said India had sent small drones into Pakistani territory, adding that most of them were intercepted by the Pakistan Rangers at the border.
He stated that the use of drones during Marka-e-Haq was unprecedented in terms of continuity and intensity, saying such extensive drone activity had not been witnessed before in the region.
The interior minister also praised the Pakistani media for uniting the nation during the conflict, while claiming that Indian media remained confused throughout the situation.
Referring to Indian actions during the confrontation, Mohsin Naqvi alleged that India targeted civilian populations in Pakistan.
He further stated that the Field Marshal was “blessed with the help of God”, adding that divine support led to Pakistan’s success in Marka-e-Haq.
Responding to a question regarding Afghanistan, the interior minister warned that if terrorism was carried out inside Pakistan, a befitting response would be given.
