Mandi Bahauddin Police nicked 402 criminals in February

On the direction of Punjab Inspector General of Police Inam Ghani, crackdown against anti-social elements has been underway in all the districts of the province to protect the life, honour and property of the common man.

Similarly a especially campaign against notorious criminals, proclaimed offenders and those dealing in illegal weapons and drugs has initiated to create a sense of security among the public.

In this regard, Mandi Bahauddin Police took emergency measures for the arrest of anti-social elements in January 2021 and this month in February 2021 achieved significant successes against criminal elements.

Meanwhile, during the operation launched by Mandi Bahauddin Police for the arrest of wanted criminals and proclaimed offenders in serious cases, the police teams performed high performance and arrested 163 dangerous criminals involved in serious incidents including 44 A category and 119 criminals of B category.

During this period, Mandi Bahauddin Police traced cases against property crime and recovered property worth more than Rs. 31 lakh rupees, while arresting 29 members of 07 gangs also ensured financial recovery of more than Rs. 34 lakhs rupees .

In addition, 171 suspects were arrested during the operation against criminals and heavy weapons including 16 Kalashnikovs, 21 guns, 27 rifles, 107 pistols and 3650 bullets were recovered from their possession.

68 suspects were arrested while conducting operations against anti-social elements. More than 46 kgs of cannabis, 182 bottles of liquor, 03 activated kilns, 42 liters of lehn with distillers were recovered from their possession.

Moreover, different cases were registered including 03 case against violation of loudspeaker act 41 cases against over speeding , 78 cases on electricity theft, 42 cases against fireworks, 21 cases against bogus number plates, 21 cases of gambling, 01 case of asylum, 09 cases of kite flying, 14 cases of price control and 10 cases of aerial firing were registered.

District Police Officer Syed Ali Raza said that the convenience of the citizens is being given priority during the operations against anti-social elements so that the sense of security among the people is further enhanced and they consider the police as their helper.

He added that crackdown on proclaimed offenders, robbers, drug dealers and criminal elements would continue on a daily basis to ensure safety of life and property of the citizens.
