LAHORE – A man attempted suicide by jumping from the old building of the Punjab Assembly in provincial capital city of Lahore, it emerged on Thursday.
Haji Muhammad Yousaf, who is a government employee, suffered serious injuries as he is under treatment at a hospital in a critical condition.
Yousaf is one of the of old employees of the assembly. His colleagues said Yousaf attended the office in the morning as per the routine, adding that he held a phone call with someone before attempting the suicide.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
