Sindh has witnessed a significant rise in malaria cases, with more than 93,000 reported in just one week, according to reliable sources. The National Institute of Health (NIH) confirmed that a total of 93,002 malaria cases were documented across the province during this period. Larkana has been the most affected district, registering 10,427 cases, while Khairpur follows with 7,858 cases. Other districts reporting high numbers include Qambar with 7,525 cases, Mirpurkhas with 5,655, Dadu with 5,980, and Badin with 4,204.
Sanghar reported 5,488 cases, Tharparkar 4,099, Tando Allahyar 4,130, Sukkur 4,249, Naushehro Feroze 3,682, Shikarpur 4,186, and Umerkot with 3,546 cases. In Karachi, over 1,000 malaria cases were reported in the past week.
