‘Make Karachi Green’ campaign launched in Saddar Town

Chairman Sadar Town Mansoor Ahmed Sheikh has said that tree planting is the most important source of greenery and beauty around the world, trees are the guarantor of our life, the pressure of air density can be reduced only by planting more greenery. The Saddar Town Council has passed a resolution under which it will be mandatory to plant trees around houses and apartments, otherwise fine will be imposed.

He was speaking at inauguration of the Green Karachi plantation campaign in Baloch Park UC-6 Nanakwara. MPA Bilal Jadoon, Town Vice Chairman Abdul RehmanMotiwala, Municipal Commissioner Noor Hassan Jokhio, Assistant Commissioner Garden AsmaBatul, Leader of Trade Union AsifGulfam, Chairman UC 6 WaseemShirazi personalities were also present. Town Chairman Mansoor Sheikh said more than 15,000 saplings will be planted in the campaign. MPA Bilal Jadoon said that every person should fulfill his national duty by planting saplings in the environmental pollution-free and green Karachi campaign.

Town Vice Chairman Abdul RehmanMotiwala said that if every citizen plants at least one tree, then Karachi can be made green.
