ISLAMABAD – Major General Faisal Naseer has assumed charge as the National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).
The federal government had earlier announced a number of transfers and appointments in key institutions, including the appointment of Major General Faisal Naseer as NACTA National Coordinator for a three-year term.
According to notifications issued by the Establishment Division, several other appointments, extensions and postings have also been approved.
Muhammad Riazuddin Khan, an Establishment Division officer on the strength of the Secretariat Group in Grade 21, has been appointed Executive Director of State Life Insurance.
Federal Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham Khan’s contract has been extended for one year with effect from September 4, 2026. The appointment of Joint Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office Jahangir Mushtaq has also been extended for one year.
The services of Grade-20 Police Service officer Naveed Ahmed Nisar Khawaja, who was awaiting posting, have been placed at the disposal of the Frontier Constabulary. The services of Grade-20 officer Muhammad Karim Khan have been placed at the disposal of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The services of Grade-19 Police Service officer Ahsan Saifullah have been placed at the disposal of the Punjab government.
Meanwhile, Grade-20 officer Imran Javed, who was awaiting posting, has been granted 14 days of leave abroad, according to the notifications.
