Mainly dry weather to persist

Islamabad—The Met department of Pakistan Wednesday forcast mainly dry and partly cloudy weather likely to persists in the country during next 24 hours.
Talking to APP,an official said continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country during next 24 to 36 hours. However, a fresh westerly wave is likely to enter western parts of the country on Thursday night.
However, light rain-thunderstorm may occur at few places in Malakand, Quetta, Zhob divisions, FATA and Kashmir tonight. Hot and dry weather conditions is expected in Sindh, south Punjab and south Balochistan.
Yesterday’s Highest Maximum Temperatures were recorded in shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, R.Y.Khan, Mithi 39øC, Chhor, Rohri, Khanpur, Larkana 38øC.
Meanwhile, persistent dry weather in plains of the Punjab has increased the temperature to 32øC in provincial Capital ushering in summer after some rainy spells earlier this month.
According to local Met office, maximum tem-perature in Lahore on Wednesday was recorded as 33 degrees celsius and minimum was 18 degrees. He said similar weather conditions prevailed all over the province. He said there was no chance of rain, not at least during the next seven days. “But if it rained afterwards, temperature would reduce by a maximum of five degrees celsius for few days”. —APP
