The land mafia has usurped precious 606 kanal of land of the Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation (PCBL).

According to the sources, the land mafia headed by a local Sohail Akhtar grabbed the PCBL’s 606 kanal, worth billions of rupees, located in Ameer Pura in connivance with the Lahore district administration.

The Raiwind Tehsil Assistance Commissioner, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Qanungo, and Patwari allegedly mentioned the land in Mouza Bhobatian by tempering the record and allowed the mafia to confiscate the land.

The PCBL has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore asking the authority to take appropriate action against the Raiwind Tehsil revenue officials who had changed the title of the land illegally. “The possession of the land owned by the Punjab Liquidation Board in Mouza Ameerpura was declared as Mouza Bhobatian and the possession was given to a citizen named Sohail Akhtar,” it added.

The Punjab Liquidation Board has demanded action against them for wrong identification. According to the record, the PCBL’s land is in Khewat No. 38 and 41 in the southern part of Mauza Ameerpura.

Khasra No. 1916 of Ameerpura has been declared Khasra No. 4037 of Mouza Bhobatian, the latter adds. The boundary of Mauza Ameerpura is connected with Mauza Bhobatian which was captured after being identified in 2013.
