Lahore Waste Management Company has tightened the supervision of its night shift cleaning operation to provide a cleaner city to the citizens in the early hours of the morning.
On the instructions of CEO LWMC Rafia Haider, monitoring of night shift clean-up operation has been further tightened.
Moon Market, Ichhra, Mozang, MorSamanabad, and adjoining areas continued to be monitored for night cleaning operations while night shift operation teams have been given the target of zero waste in residential areas and commercial markets.
CEO LWMC Rafia Haider stated that all the commercial markets will be cleared in the night. She instructed the field officers to supervise the city-wide clean-up operation responsibly. Temporary collection points should be cleared in the night shift only.
She further said that better results are emerging from dividing the operations into three shifts. To further improve quality and performance, higher management will ensure day and night checking in all towns of the city. She also said that the daily monitoring report must be submitted in order to ensure affectivity of the operation, surprise visit of the city will be a permanent feature and if any area is found neglected the responsibility will be fixed to the concerning officers.
She added that serving Lahore is our prime responsibility and there will no comprise over it.
