LWMC deputy CEO visits Lakhodair landfill site

The Lahore Waste Management Company remained active during heavy rainfall despite facing issues including disposal of waste at landfill site.

In this regard, the LWMC administration has been mobilized to address management related issues.

On the instructions of CEO LWMC Rafia Haider, Deputy CEO (Operations) Jawad Haider paid an emergency visit to Lakhodir and Mahmood Booti landfill sites where he reviewed waste disposal, workshops and administrative matters.

He directed to clear all entrances and exits to landfill sites and resolve all other issues on emergency basis.

LWMC CEO Rafia Haider has given standing instructions for repair to all the out-of-order vehicles at the workshops immediately and stated that the site should be used to the best of its ability.

All employees of Landfill Sites should ensure their 100% attendance and all resources should be utilized for proper disposal of waste, she added.

She also said that plans are afoot to modernize the Landfill site and work is underway on projects to reduce the amount of waste at landfill site.
