LWMC BoD okays hiring of CFO, 965 drivers

The 121st Meeting of Board of Directors of the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) held at LWMC head office to review and approve certain agendas. LWMC Chairman Amjad Ali Awan presided over the meeting.

LWMC CEO Rafia Haider along with other BOD members attended the meeting. The meeting discussed administrative matters, recruitments and projects of LWMC on which important decisions were taken.

The Board of Directors unanimously approved the recruitment of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), GM Resource and additional drivers for 965 new operational vehicles.

The LWMC Board of Directors also decided that no additional time will be given for delivery of new vehicles. On the occasion, Amjad Ali Awan said that at present the company is managing waste of the City on one third of the budget as compared to the past. He added that the department has saved Rs514 million in term of secondary waste contract.

He further said that the company is fulfilling its operational responsibilities within the existing resources and in the next few months the waste to energy projects and compost plant will also be made more active.
