On the invitation of Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) chairman, Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf members of national and provincial assembies from Lahore paid visit to Lahore Waste Management Company Head Office.
The purpose of their visit was to understand LWMC working in Lahore and to improve coordination between the department and political representatives. MNAs Rubeena Jamil, Rukhsana Naveed followed by Provincial Minister Forestry Asad Ali Khokhar, MPAs Nadeem Abbas Bara, Nazir Chohaan, Sumaira Ahmad, Sadia Sohail Rana, Ch Amin Zulqarnain, Ex-MPA Shoaib Siddiqui, PTI Spokesperson Asim Shokat and LWMC Board of Director Member Ahmad Taha were part of the delegation visited.
Lahore Waste Management Company Chairman Riaz Hameed Chaudhary and Managing Director Rao Imtiaz Ahmad welcomed the delegates.
The chairman gave a detailed presentation on LWMC initiatives, achievements with briefing on the role of LWMC in city along with its administrative structure.
Respected guests also gave multiple suggestions to improve the cleanliness situation of the city and to bridge the gap between the department and political reps in the field during question and answer session. Chairman Lahore Waste Management Company also directed the concern officers to resolve the public complaints there and then shared by the delegates. Later, the members of national and provincial assemblies acknowledged the efforts made by LWMC in order to keep the city clean and agreed to work in collaborative manner to make effective sanitation condition of the city.
