The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distributors have announced observing a two-day strike from August 05 (Saturday) against what they call a mafia involve in black-marketing of fuel and importers. Market insiders, however, are skeptics over LPG distributers claiming that many of them are responsible for the price-hike of fuel.
They are also blamed for selling substandard cylinders responsible for tragic incidents causing loss of lives and property.
The office-bearers of LPG Distributors Association said on Monday that their token strike proved successful and they would now observe shutter-down strike across country. Leaders of the unions of the national and multinational companies affiliated to the industrial labour union conducted an emergency meeting here against inflation and unemployment.
