KARACHI – Another deadly fate of love marriage in Pakistan as couple was shot dead shortly after appearing in court. The duo just secured relief in case related to their marriage when unknown attackers ambushed their vehicle near Malir Halt and killed them on the spot.
A shocking and brutal double murder has sent waves of fear and outrage across the city after a newly married couple, who had just secured legal relief from court, were gunned down in a targeted attack near Malir Halt.

The tragic incident took place when a man and his wife, who had entered into a love marriage, were returning from Malir Court after appearing before a judge regarding their case. The couple was ambushed on the road, where unknown armed attackers opened fire at close range. The intensity and proximity of the gunfire proved fatal, killing both on the spot.
Police confirmed that the deceased were legally married. The woman had been the subject of a kidnapping case registered at Sachal Police Station on the complaint of her family. However, the couple had been living together after their love marriage and appeared in court today for bail proceedings.
The court reviewed the nikah (marriage) documents and arguments presented, after which it dismissed the kidnapping case against the husband and acquitted him with honor.
Moments after leaving Malir Court and heading back towards the Sachal area, their vehicle was intercepted. The attackers stopped the car and carried out what appears to be a planned execution-style killing. The woman has been identified as Nadia.
Sindh Inspector General Javed Alam Odho has taken strict notice of incident, demanding an immediate detailed report from the Additional IG Karachi. He has ordered law enforcement to track down the perpetrators without delay and ensure a transparent investigation covering all aspects of the case. The incident has sparked shock, grief, and renewed concerns over targeted violence linked to personal disputes and honor-related tensions in the city.
