Lockdown of innocent Kashmiri civilians by Indian occupation army for more than 185 days is a shame for whole global community and it has exposed the hollow slogans of human rights of so-called civilized nations and world powers, said Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Altaf Shakoor, here Wednesday on the occasion of Kashmir Day. As per details, PDP staged a big rally from Korangi area that marched on different streets of the megacity. Rallies were also staged in different othercities and towns by PDP activists to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren. Altaf Shakoor said the independence of Kashmir from the Indian yoke is now not for away. He said the high spirits of Kashmiri freedom fighters could not be dampened. He saluted Kashmiris, particularly feeble Kashmiri women and children for their heroic bravery. He asked the Pakistani political leadership to show some courage and maturity and tackle the Kashmir Issue, wholeheartedly. He said lip service for Kashmiris is useless and instead of taking frequent U-turns the sitting government should adopt a brave and bold stance on Kashmir. He said this is not the time for rhetoric but for practical steps, for which the sitting government should muster courage. He said the butcher of Gujarat, Modi, has turned the Indian occupied Kashmir into the largest jail of the world. He said Kashmiris are braving the worst atrocities, but the government of Pakistan is still dragging feet. He said we strongly condemn that the government of Afghanistan stopped Pakistani embassy to hold a program for expressing solidarity to Kashmiris in Kabul. He asked the government of Pakistan to take a strong notice of this matter.
